The fourth small earthquake discovered since North Korea's sixth test of nuclear weapons

South Korea discovered a fourth small earthquake near North Korea's main nuclear test site after the country's sixth and most powerful test of nuclear tests last month.

South Korea's weather agency says the four earthquakes may occur because the underground nuclear explosion has weakened or affected the tectonic structures in the region.

No such earthquake was detected after the previous five nuclear tests conducted in North Korea since 2006.

The magnitude of the 2.7-magnitude quake is 54 kilometers (0.62 miles) northwest of the northeastern city of Kilju, the agency said.
