Authorities released surveillance footage from a hotel on the outskirts of Chicago where the body of 19-year-old Kenica Jenkins
The dead were found early on Sunday after attending a party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont. Her family had previously said she went to a party in the hotel with friends on Friday night.
Rosemont Department of Public Safety lawyers sent CBS News all the surveillance pictures showing Jenkins on the night she was lost. You can see a bump around the hotel corridors as it bumps into the walls and at least one handrail.
At some point, you wandered inside the hotel kitchen alone, where you graduated from the surveillance camera frame.
The authorities believe this is where Jenkins allows herself to be frozen when she dies. One lawyer says the frozen is opened at the push of a button.
After the news of Jenkins' death broke out, a social media storm broke out, with some people suggesting that Jenkins had fallen victim to the wrong play.
Andrew Holmes, a community activist and crisis responder, asked people on the social media to stop.
The authorities said they had released Jenkins' footage and to the medical examination office in Cook County, which requested the material. The results of anatomy and toxicology are pending.
